Definitely, Its different type of halwa, Strawberry Halwa. It looks so yummy and delicious, feels very elegant dessert that I am getting in any 5-star hotel.
This weekend I have been to Mahabaleshwar and strawberries are so real and fresh there. It is a famous place for Strawberry farms in Maharashtra. It is such scenic city with lots of nature, mountains, and lakes. Mahabaleshwar and Panchgani are on the same route with nice hilltops to see sunrise and sunsets.
Panchgani has lots of good boarding schools where many of our film industry people have studied.Even Tarein ZameenPar movie ‘s shooting is done in New Era High school.
Strawberries were brought from Australia by British people to India and Mahabaleshwar was considered as the summer capital of Bombay Presidency.Since then, local farmers have developed their own varieties of the fruit, some of which are imported from other places.
I have written my Mahabaleshwar Travel in my Travel diary with lots of photos.Long story short, strawberries were so fresh and delicious, I couldn’t resist myself from buying them.Strawberry Halwa is a little twist to our regular Halwa recipe. When it served cold and with strawberry chunks, it tastes delicious.
I have these red flowers from my garden, whose color really matches with my red strawberries and couldn’t resist from clicking its beauty.
While roasting sooji/rava, roast till it becomes golden and makes sure it doesn’t get browner.Strawberry chunks look nice with little golden or white color as in photos.
In summer days, I made the same kind of Halwa from Mango smoothie, Mango Sheera.
